Over Short Leave, five Wycombe Abbey girls participated in Christ Hospital's Annual Model United Nations Conference, hosted by Christ Hospital School over two days. The girls represented various delegations, including three solo delegations, from Nigeria, Chile, Malaysia, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The students tackled an escalating conflict in the fictional country of Rengaan, and successfully passed a resolution for aide to be sent on behalf of the United Nations. The delegates were also able to attend a formal black tie dinner in Christ Hospital's great hall, hosted by the Amicable Society of Blues, the oldest dining club in the world still in existence. All delegates successfully lobbied in their respective committees, and Gillian, UVI, won outstanding delegate in her committee, a fantastic achievement against some of the best MUN delegates and schools in the country.
